I Let This Mustang Mach-E Drive Me and It Felt Almost Human (BlueCruise 1.5)

Today I’m getting behind the wheel of the 2025 Mustang Mach-E to try out something Ford says feels almost human: BlueCruise 1.5. This updated hands-free driving system finally brings automatic lane changes—so I put it to the test to see if it’s actually worth the subscription fee (or if it’s just a fancy cruise control with marketing attached).

In this first drive, you’ll see how BlueCruise 1.5 handles real-world traffic, how it decides when to move over, and whether it’s as smooth as Ford claims. Spoiler: it definitely surprised me in a few ways.

If you’re thinking about buying a Mach-E or you’re just curious about where semi-autonomous driving tech is headed, this is the video for you.
