How To Fix Your Honda Android Auto and Carplay Issues in Six Seconds

In this video, I wanted to share a quick fix I found for Honda Android Auto and CarPlay issues. I was having trouble connecting my phone to my Honda CRV using Android Auto, and my wife's iPhone also showed weird issues with CarPlay. We noticed that even after she unplugged her phone, the car's display still said CarPlay was connected. We didn't have wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, so this was strange.

I tried everything I could to fix the issue, including restarting my phone, turning the car off and on, and changing the USB cable and port. Nothing worked. Then, I discovered that a simple reboot of the car's infotainment system fixed the problem.

Here's how to do it:

Go to the System menu.
Press and hold the volume/audio button for about six seconds.
A menu will pop up. Tap Yes.
The system will reboot. This takes longer than a normal restart.
Once the reboot is complete, your phone should connect properly.
I hope this helps! If you're having trouble with Honda Android Auto or CarPlay, give this a try. It might just save you a trip to the dealer.
