Testing the Ryobi Electric Riding Lawn Mower Lithium Battery Conversion 19 months later

Two summers ago, I converted my Ryobi Electric Riding Lawnmower from STUPID lead acid batteries to much more sensible Lithium Ion batteries (LiPo). And it worked great! But a lot of you have asked, how is it going 19 months later? Well it's time to get the mower out, so this video shows exactly what happened the very first time I pulled it out from the shed and turned it on. Keep in mind, for the second year, I once again stored it in the shed without power the entire winter long.

Ryobi's $4,000 Riding Lawn Mower comes with stupid lead acid batteries that are destined to fail. If you already bought this mower, the best thing you can do is replace them! With Lithium Batteries!
Links below, but some details you should know first.

Updates: Officially, LiTime reached out and asked me to state that they officially do not support using their batteries for lawn mowers and may not honor their warranty if you do. However, I have also seen them advertising their batteries for this exact purpose. Use them at your own risk, I've linked other brands below as well. Also, if you have Ryobi's RM300e or RM480EX, scroll pass my initial battery recommendations to sections about those mowers.

I've also linked a popular "Single battery" Chins and "Single Battery" LiTime option. These batteries requires additional work to install as it doesn't fit perfectly, but as it's a single battery the wiring is easier and you don't have to worry about balancing.

You probably will not need to do the key fix that I had to do, these randomly fail and that's what happened to me. Only do this if necessary.

For clarity, I have model RY48111 but the following batteries should also work for models RY48110, RY48112, and RY48113. I'll discuss some other models further below.
